Personal trainers at the Herbert Wellness Center are University of Miami students, typically earning degrees in an exercise-related field such as exercise science, exercise physiology, sports medicine, or physical therapy.

Assisted Stretch

A trained assisted stretch professional will help you improve range of motion and address imbalances by applying gentle pressure in stretched positions and mobilizing joints in a variety of methods superior to self-directed stretching. Complete the Medical History Form to get started.

Nutrition Consultation

Our nutrition services provide personalized support to help you fuel your body, improve eating habits, and reach your health goals. Led by a registered dietitian, we offer one-on-one counseling on topics like sports nutrition, meal planning, and overall wellness. Whether you're looking to enhance your performance, manage a health condition, or simply feel your best, we're here to help. Complete the Medical History Form to get started.

Getting a Personal Trainer

  1. Complete the Medical History Form.
  2. Once your Medical History Form is submitted and reviewed, you will be contacted via email to schedule your initial assessment.
  3. During the assessment you will discuss your goals and expectations, and obtain baseline measurements which help your trainer design your program.
  4. A personal trainer, chosen based on your preference and individual needs, will contact you within 48 hours of your assessment to schedule your first session.
